As a liaison between alumni and the Office of Institutional Advancement & Alumni Development, the UIU Alumni Association board’s mission is to promote goodwill, create a dynamic alumni program, build loyalty, increase involvement and generate support for the University.

Goals

It’s important our graduates feel connected to their alma mater, and the Alumni Association is here to help! Here are our primary goals:

  • Increase alumni participation in the University.
  • Establish mutually beneficial relations between the University, its alumni, and friends, and to provide the University with support through closer fellowship.
  • Enhance and support the professional development and success of Upper Iowa University graduates.
  • Keep alumni advised of the University’s strategic plans.
  • Support work of the Alumni Office to enhance alumni outreach.

Here are a few ways you can be involved:

Jeff Stavnes – Upper Iowa University Alumni Association Board President

Fellow Peacocks,
I am a 1976 graduate of the Upper Iowa Fayette campus and am excited to represent the Upper Iowa University Alumni Association Board as President. If you haven’t been back to campus in a while, you would be amazed by the changes that have occurred. Come see for yourself!

The Upper Iowa University Alumni Board consists of 17 alumni dedicated to the growth of the University. We support fundraising, alumni participation, and the professional development and success of fellow graduates. The Alumni Office and the Association Board are busy planning events throughout the calendar year for your participation – Homecoming, online events, reunions, and more! I strongly encourage you to connect (or reconnect) with the University that gave you your start!

We are always looking for ways to serve our 43,000 alumni, so reach out to us if you have an idea or event you would like to see happen. The Association Board looks forward to meeting you at these events so we can share with you everything that is happening at Upper Iowa University. See you soon and Go Peacocks!

Sincerely,
Jeff Stavnes ‘76
